New Ning Offline-Online Business Network
Filed Under Announcements, Ning Sites, Offline Online Integration, Promoting Yourself, Social Media and Social Networking Sites
My new free open business networking site, containing both offline-online and educational components, has opened using the Ning social and business networking platform. This networking site serves entrepreneurs and small businesses worldwide.
A unique aspect of this business site is that they’ll help connect offline networking groups, facilitating communication among group members and attracting new group members online. You do not need a business to join.
Business Networking Site
This is the new business networking site with its .Co domain name. Click on the links to join:

Group owners will be site ambassadors and promote their groups and hopefully conduct business with complete transparency and integrity.
You too can help spread the word about these new business networking sites, if you like.
Most Popular Social and Business Networking Sites
Also, I’m now frequently updating my blog post on the Most Popular Social and Business Networking Sites that has already been accessed more than 8,000 times since July 2009. If you have any suggestions for that article, please comment there.
If you own a social or business networking site and would like to sponsor that blog post, you can contact me directly.
I recommend that you subscribe to Online Social Networking and “Like” me on Facebook, so that we can stay connected. Comments are welcome, as well.

I’m closing my Ning sites as well. I’m not paying when I can get services for free. I don’t mind helping to promote others, but I can’t afford to pay for it.

I’m not closing my Ning sites because of money. I’m just redefining my business networking model. I will in fact be paying for upkeep of the new sites.
Hi Larry: I will miss you here. I wish you the best in your new venture.
Best Regards,
Dorothy
I can’t wait to see the new networking websites. Your training is great. We should have a new site up too - in about two weeks. Thanks again for your great blog!
Happily, I’m not actually going anywhere, Dorothy. I am closing three business networking sites but opening two much more interesting ones in their stead.
Thanks Elizabeth for everything.
Hi Larry, you are a great teacher and leader. I am looking forward to your showcasing the new business networking sites that you say are more interesting than NING.
Thanks for taking the steps and showing us how!
These sites are using Ning, Debbie. I like the Ning platform. I do feel, however, that Ning failed in its original mission.
Hey there Larry ~ Terrific leads and information for all small businesses. Only one thing. If I join another NING website I will explode.
It takes all of my time administering my own NING website 24/7. P.S. How did NING fail in its original mission?
Blessings,
Debby
Ning was meant to be a meta network, i.e., a network of networks. People would create both the networks and the content within those networks — Web 2.0 taken to the next level.
Privacy issues, spam and confusion made that model difficult to implement and to monetize.
Now Ning is merely a service provider that leases hosting and mailing services bundled with customizable Ning social networking software.
Ning sites are totally independent from each other, except that friend connections are still portable from one network to another.

I just registered at “Small Business Networking” Larry and I swear my template matched yours before your site was up…proves we both have good taste!
Anyway, I’d like to suggest that you put up a PayPal donation button somewhere on your landing page because I for one would gladly pay a subscription amount for ANYTHING you care to write and share.
You ROCK!

We have a few sites ready to go with the new Ning network. Keep it going Larry.
